Papirøen, also known as “paper Island,” is an artificial island located in the inner harbor of Copenhagen, Denmark. The harbor was first used as an industrial shipping and storage center. The island was open to the public in 2012 when it was starting to be used as a commercial district. There are varieties of entertainment open to the public, such as street food vendors, art galleries, clothing stores and etc. The purpose of this project is to create a more welcoming vibe and noticeable signs to guide people to this location.
